I have an upcoming system design interview round for my onsite with Instacart. Anyone interview there recently or know what to expect? From what I've seen online they might ask "Design a system for communicating with a payment processor", "Design a system for tracking shipments", or "Design a database model for an Instacart-like system", but can't be certain. #software #instacart #interview #swe
Which role?
I've interviewed there recently. I obviously can't say what they asked but study up on notification & messaging queue systems

Modi is a legend, will be remembered for centuries to come
I used to conduct those interviews. But we haven’t hired for so long I don’t know if they changed the question. From what I remember your online resources is pretty good but it’s actually all of the above. The question will present you with a problem you will draw boxes for all the systems needed to solve that problem. Then the interviewer will go deeper and ask questions like: so how do you handle security for system X; design the database for system Y; how does X and Y talk to each other…etc.
