Had a phone screen recently for an hour. First 30 mins getting to know each other went well. Coding part next 30 mins went extremely well. Questions was the most simplest one and could be solved easily. You can find the question on glassdoor so won’t reveal it here. Next day rejection email. It seems they ask the same question to everyone and stil reject. Wtf. Instacart
I looked at their pay on levelsfyi seems pretty low
Their L5 offer is 195/800/30 base rsu (over 4) signing. They pay a lot if you believe in funny money.
Lol exactly
Maybe you failed the first part...
I agree with you. He asked me “tell me about yourself”. Maybe he did not like what I told him about myself and the fact that I worked on ps5. Makes total sense to me now.
Should’ve worked on ps6
It's all about how the interviewer believes your performance was not how you think it went. Keep trying!
Have you ever used it? It's a horrible product anyway, its customers will be happy to switch to Amazon or whatever store specific service offers them a better experience for less money.
True but doordash is shittier and look how they turned out
Same thing with me and the interviewer was really condescending 🤷♀️
For SWE position or non-SWE ?
You're joining at L4, they offered you $155k base and you expect half a million in RSUs, and you're surprised they're surprised at that? What do you think Instacart is? 5 people start up? With 8 years experience, if you're leveled at L4, you didn't exactly kill those interviews... you're lucky someone is willing to take a chance with you. So, they offer you $155k base and $180k in RSUs, how much value do you think you bring dude? Do them a favor, reject the offer.
PwC the role tells a lot
What does it tell?

What do you think is wrong with a kid who got rejected by 9 colleges?
Sorry, but a lot of startups are like this
That’s fair. But the question is why and what could they be possibly looking for then ?
Your thought process, how well you communicate, if you seen like a smart/friendly person
