Got positive feedback of the virtual onsite interviews from these 3 companies. I don’t have the TC numbers yet. Without TC, do you guys have any idea which company I should join and why? TC: 160 #tech #ipo #instacart #mongodb #Oscar health
Depends which role
All swe. Cannot post group here. Sorry
I don’t need group it’s ok
Oscar Health seems super overhyped. I don’t think they’ve done much TBH besides raise a ton of money. Instacart is in a tough space since Amazon is pushing hard on vertical integration in grocery delivery. MongoDB seems to be doing alright, but I feel like their time has also passed.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts
Oscar does a lot of things that are cool and revolutionary in healthcare and that no other healthcare company is doing, but the tech stack isn’t cool and revolutionary for tech. I came from a healthcare background and things at Oscar are way more technically savvy than things are in my previous workplaces, but compared to the rest of tech, it’s not that exciting. It’s a cool place to be if you’re interested in user experience and doing new things in healthcare, but not if you’re interested in something that’s more high tech.
whats your total yoe ? Is the position for SWE or Senior SWE ?
4-7 yoe
Can I dm you, i also have an upcoming v-onsite interview with Oscar health. If you can provide me some insights like what was the level of coding round , standard LC medium or hard ? How was design rounds . Thanks
Curious what have you decided - mongodb or instacart ? I think with instacart the upside is almost over given you will be joining just pre-ipo and also obvious risk from Amazon and other grocers. MongoDb looks like good option if they can match the equity part with Instacart.
Hi , Can i DM you about some MongoDB interview questions?
mongo db is an awesome place to work at, joined last month. solid comp, great culture, interesting product and down to earth leadership
Are you SWE or something else? I've read across multiple sites that the comp isn't anything to call home about and that they're not big on RSUs or signing bonus. Given that they're not profitable yet (and balance sheet has some red flags) and hiring a lot, I wonder if there'll be layoffs in a couple of years if they don't get on a better track for profitability.
im swe with 180K tc at 1yoe. not sure what the profitability issues you’re talking about since atlas is going through the roof
