I was watching a show on Netflix through their website on google chrome and I noticed that Instagram started showing me contents related to the show. I was wondering if Instagram has some kind of partnership with Google/Netflix or maybe Apple cus I use a Mac. Since there are a lot of folks in the tech industry here, I’m hoping to get some insights on this. #netflix #instagram #google #apple
Meta Pixel just doing what Apple's ATT forced it to do
Companies run marketing campaigns on multiple channels. They know that if you see something nice on TV, you’ll probably want to buy it or search for it. So they might pay Netflix for promoting/recommending a movie and at the same time they run Instagram ads for products in this movie. You were the perfect target for their campaign. Other people might not have clicked on the movie or noticed the ad on Instagram.
