Exiting smartphones, not smartphone modems :). I didnt think we'd make a lot of money there anyway... Everyone besides apple is getting hammered. I'm pretty sure given new emphasis on 5G they didn't decimate the modem group like they did other orgs.

I don't think it's that bad. From what I understand it's US AT&T iphones only. International and other US carriers remain QCOM. It's to remove QCOMs monopoly in the high end modem space. Apple will be able to negotiate better prices by sourcing both. Not losing the China/asian markets is huge since everything else is pretty much saturated from what I understand.
