The external offer is above my current compensation, but I like the WLB at Intel.

Yes, I am a SWE and the offer is from a SW company. Why do you recommend moving out of Intel?

      1a. Better pay
      1b. Better pay
      1. Better tech
      Potentially:
      Better coworkers
      Better career growth
      Better future opportunities

This is of course general. If you're a compiler guy or something low level.. You'd probably love Intel

If you're in AIPG you might want to leave. I'm in AIPG as well and starting to interview

Why are you planning to leave AIPG?

Wait for lay-off notice coming this month. If you get it then you ride it, collect severance, jump ship, and never mention it to the new company. I’m doing the same right now. Trying to delay so I can get that severance.

I know details will be here soon but any word on what the severance will be?

If you have an offer it's probably higher TC so it makes sense to leave even if there are no layoffs. Unless of course you don't really want to work at the new company or you LOVE you job at Intel

Is this for IAGS only, or is it for other groups as well?

Intel is fucking up my supply chain due to delays in networking cards and processors. Layoff would be comical here since they can't seem to ship anything I need in volume.

Isn’t AIPG the next big thing? Why did you look out? Just for higher TC?

I like my group but the leadership (both AIPG and higher Intel leadership) doesn't instill confidence. They are not doing a good job. There has been quite a bit of attrition, too.
