What happens when most of your team is Indian?
Hi Blind Community, Underpaid Intel Process Engineer here. Posting on behalf of my friend (Recent grad, YOE: 2) who doesn't have Blind account yet. He interviewed for Software Engineer role, Hillsboro. Job req was for G6. Interview went well and expecting an offer. I hear that Intel recently started offering higher salary for new hires. What TC (Base + RSU) can he expect and how to approach negotiations to get a high TC? If you guys can share your insights, that would be very helpful. TIA ! #intel #software #semiconductor #interview
Hi, current SWE intern here, I just got hired on a different team as a g5 (I think? It actually isn't very clear -- recruiter stated g5, but job posting was g3, and a more experienced classmate just got a g3 role and specifically did not get hired as a g5 even though he is an "experienced hire" currently working as a SWE). Anyway, we both used the data at levels.fyi to negotiate, and this went just fine -- so that would probably be a good starting point. I wish I had asked for a little more, because I didn't expect them to just straight up accept what I asked for like that.
