Hello, Currently, I am Working at Gm on a contract role and my compensation is around 108k in Detroit, MI. I Need your inputs over the two offers that I have received. Lam research - Title- Program Manager 3, Fremont, CA Base - 122k (initial 117k), RSU - 22k (initial offer was 17k), Sign on + Relo - 35K, 10% annual bonus (Verbally accepted) Intel Title- Capacity Industrial Engineer (G6) Base - 97,600$, No RSU, 8k hiring bonus, standard ABP and qbp, standard relocation package. What should I ask for negotiation? YOE - MS + 4 Waiting on Intel Hillsboro offer for MSE role in WATD division (grade 6). How much should I expect? At this point, should I just go with Lam research because of the location? Or should I negotiate with Intel? Which has better offer and career aspects? Any input will be really helpful. #semiconductor #joboffer #salarynegotiation #salarycomparison #intel #intelcareers #lamresearch #lamresearchcompensation #bayarea
Take one of the Intel offers, you don't want to work for one of the vendors. After negotiation
Can you please explain what’s wrong in working with the vendor?
In your case nothing wrong, you're at their HQ. As a vendor at a site, some customers will ask for unreasonable demands from you/your team and blatantly violate the contract (like on-call/after hour support) and hold it against you if your team doesn't provide free service of some sort.
PM3 at Lam would map to G7 at Intel. Can you ask for G7?
Both the Bay and Portland area are too crowded and too expensive. New Mexico is nice if you don’t like crowds and want to be able to comfortably afford a house and to raise a family. Engineers also seem more relaxed in NM than in PTD’s pressure cooker environment.
Is this really true? I'm interviewing for a completely unrelated vendor job in NM atm, I was thinking that all of Intel was just more chill than rest of the industry, location independent
