Free intel ARC on the way out
Intel have to many "lifers" directors/VP/fellow who gets reassigned new positions even if their projects failed spectacularly.
This is true and I fear until these people are gradually shown out, atleast for the least performing ones, it will continue to be business as usual.
I think VSP must be going on based on the number of lifers I’m seeing voluntarily retiring from Intel.
I wish. I’d take the package if it was more attractive than the exit package. Truth is, we’ve been around so long we have learned that being left after a reorg like this is worse than leaving. Picking up the pieces, figuring out who is left is a continuous mental blow.
I believe so, I haven’t been affected. Engineers are usually last to go.
Seen plenty of marketing and administrative folks posting on LI recently about being laid off/leaving but there have been a couple of engineers too I think
2-3%
Affected people have been notified in AXG

Not going to say much but we're expecting the purge to begin soon.
Soon? It's already complete for some groups. Other groups will start. Depends on the division.
I said the purge will begin. Small layoffs done mean crap. The big layoffs are expected to be done in January
