Hi, I got an offer from Intel for an architect role. How much can I write in the expected CTC? Current TC: Base 31L Bonus : 10% target Rsu: 23k$ (having 55k$ unvested stocks) Yoe: 5.5+mtech Level: Lead engineer Can I expect a 25% increase in base pay to 38-39L? And also, I hope I get a grade 7 with an equal bonus or stocks..
Which group?
Design engineering group. Any idea on the pay range for grade 7?
I would suggest start asking from 39L base, which is 25% from your current. You can settle around 35-37L. Architects are paid more and are in demand. I'm an architect myself. Ask for $45K worth of RSUs. Settle for $38k-40k
Updating here: Got the below offer and I don't think I'm going to negotiate anything here. Base : 39L APB: 3.5L QPB: 2.4L One time: Bonus: 8L in two installments LTRC: 50L in three years Grade : 8
So almost 64 lpa per year ? Good hike 👍

For god sake don’t ask anything below 50% hike in base pls. Can bring to 35-40% after negotiation in the worst case. Switch is not worth the minimal hike until and unless you are in a toxic environment
Is it practical to ask 50% when I'm already having a 31L as a base? Are you saying I can expect them to pay above 40L for my 5.5 yoe with mtech?.
Well what’s the harm in asking? If your current job is under jeopardy then it’s fine to settle. If not then try asking as much as possible. They aren’t gonna rescind offer, probably they’ll offer their best.
