Intel Corp. is adding 235 new permanent layoffs at the end of this month to the 549 cuts it has already made this year at its Folsom office campus. https://www.bizjournals.com/sacramento/inno/stories/news/2023/12/15/intel-folsom-235-layoffs.html Intel doing small layoffs looks like . Still shameful doing it in holidays while upper management is enjoying their vacation..
Non-paywall version: https://archive.is/2bGCI It’s sad to see Intel doing this. The layoffs just won’t stop for them, and I hate to see them do terribly as a PC gamer and long time buyer from them.
These layoffs already happened earlier but are covered in news now because of warn triggering. Intel has been laying off entire yr but no new layoffs were announced this month if that's what you mean afaik.
If WARN annoucement came out now that means will happen this month right?
Intel gives 90 days notice so when it hit warn and news, those layoffs already happened earlier.
Feel sad for the employees but as an ex Intel Folsom employee this was bound to happen. Folsom management was ultra toxic, every manager was just focused on increasing headcount and back stabbing each other to get promos. Horrific place no wonder they are so behind the competition
