Interesting pattern when interviewing
Happened to me a couple of times now. After onsite interview - HM adds me on linkedin and tell me what a great time they had talking to me. Then they follow up to talk and give result and say ‘so excited to talk to you!!’ when scheduling result call. Then call and say Im not a great fit and best of luck. Way to lead me on folks...

There are always other candidates. Just like you have other on-sites.
The addition on LinkedIn is to peek at your connection and find people in your network.

Accept their LinkedIn invites only after they extend an offer. They just want to pass you and leverage your network
Great advice
Nah.. accept it and don’t share your contacts with others. And when they pass on you, remove their connection 🤷🏻♂️. LI has options for both.
Let’s properly differentiate between recruiters and hiring managers.
I feel you. The fake niceness of recruiters and the whole recruiting process is shit.
Sigh. In two instances this was the hiring manager (dir of engineering). Which is why it stings more :(
