Internal Transfer within MSFT

Hello all, I am currently working as a level 62 in MSFT as a Technical Program Manager. I am trying to understand how the internal transfer system works. I am really unhappy in my current position. My manager all of a sudden flipped on me and stated that I am in a Product manager role, when I have been a Technical Program Manager since I was hired and been performing well in the role since I was hired in 2020. I am really tired of all the stress and would like to change roles as fast as I can because I am not a product manager. On my last connect, my manager gave me a LITE, but I did not get zero rewards (I got a decent size reward) because he wants me to perform as a product manager. I do not want to do product management. I just need the change because I actually care about my work and I do not think my manager is a good manager at all. I think he wants to just hire someone new since he just got reorg'd over me. Any DL's or groups I can join in MSFT to start networking? I have applied to roles within MSFT but they sit in the same status for months. Is the LITE flag keeping me from applying elsewhere? I read on the company site that it doesn't, but it sure feels like I am trapped. Anyway, I was on medical for my last connect season, so I am pretty sure my manager will make it impossible for me to improve this upcoming connect season. I am going to keep looking inside and out of the company, just need to understand the environment a little better. Thanks for any information. #

LITE on Connect means it won’t be easy to find another team. AFAIK, it may require a CVP approval.
