Hi I'm currently working as a technical Data analyst (Business Integrity) at Facebook in Ireland (EU) and planning to relocate to Hyderabad,India. just found a role and received compensation details base pay : 15.5 Lakhs experience : 3 years I'm aware there will drop in compensation and salary when relocating from ireland to India and I'm okay with that. But is 15.5 lakhs sounds really low or High, I would appreciate if you can share your experience (relocated from foreign countey to India) or if you have any thoughts around it . Edited : Since it's a internal move salary is non negotiable, should I try other companies (who might offer better salary ) or I feel facebook is being fair and offering best salary ? Thanks
Any particular reason that you are relocating back to India? I think given your Facebook experience, the TC can go higher. Once again not sure is this 15.5 in tier1 city or tier 2
Just want to be closer to family and that's the main reason. Since it's a internal move , salary is non negotiable. According to you, is the salary fair or I can try other companies which might offer better salary (close to 25-30 lakh or so)
Ahh, I didn’t know it’s internal movement. Yeah I would be careful with that as Facebook definitely would lowball you on the internal movement. I am quite certain the market value is higher for your experience
Its a bit low Not really sure about the kind of work you do as a technical data analyst but Uber/PhonePe/Flipkart/Amazon gives around 20 as base for your YOE and startups like Meesho, Sharechat, MPL, Dream 11 even higher
What's your tc now? Do you get to keep your RSU? That will determine if 15 is low or not
I hardly get to keep my RSU, I just end paying in tax so don't end up keeping any many times. I just wanted to undestand , if what they are offering is too low or kind of moderate. Because I wouldn't want to leave facebook , just because other companies might offer 3-4 lakhs more i.e 20 lakhs per annum.
As per current market it’s too low you can get easily 100% more
Thanks for your comment. Would love to understand more , in what terms do you mean . Do you feel , tier 1 companies might offer close to 30 lakhs per annum for a data analyst role with my YOE?
What is your TC in Ireland?
