Internally Moving From Alphabet Subsidiary to Google

My recruiter for one of Alphabet's subsidies told me that it's easy to transfer to other companies under Alphabet (including Google) without having to re-interview. So long as the job I'm applying for is similar in another Alphabet company, I was told that I would just need to put a packet together to demonstrate my success in the role, rather than interviewing. This seemed contrary to what I was reading about moving within Alphabet companies (rather than within the same company). Any Google/Verily/Waymo/Nest/other Alphabet subsidies know if the process to transfer around Alphabet is as seamless as my recruiter is making it seem? #Google #Alphabet #Waymo #Verily #Nest #X #tech #recruiter #internaltransfer

Definitely need to interview and apply lol

Definitely need to apply and interview, but they can see your CLs and let you present some design doc, to reduce the number of interviews, and focus more on domain knowledge instead of plain old coding questions

Would the TC be the same, or can we renegotiate the TC with a competing offer?

Depends on which subsidiary. DM to discuss more?

Putting together packet to show success sounds like job ladder change (if applicable/allowed) not job transfer.

That’s basically what waymo is telling me to do tho

The Waymo process is not necessarily the same as the Google process.
