A friend got an offer for a 6mo internship at Amazon Luxembourg. 2000 euros a month pre tax. Can anyone advise: 1.) is this negotiable? 2.) is this a livable wage (by broke college student standards) in Luxembourg? 3.) would you recommend Amazon Luxembourg?
Amazon pays for housing right? If that’s the case, that pay seems more than reasonable.
Nope, no housing :(
They should ask for accommodation
Luxemburg is one of the most expensive countries to live in Europe. Make sure to do the math
It is not negotiable, 2k is not enough, Lux is boring. If you need an experience as intern in a multinational company and can’t find it anywhere else, go for it
If you plan to live in Luxembourg the 2000 monthly is not enough for food and rent; commute in the morning and eod is terrible
If you live in Luxembourg center, the commute to work is easy because, small country. Public transport is convenient. Interns generally live in shared houses for €600-800 a month.
It sounds alright. Many people live across the border in Germany and commute to Luxembourg for work.
