My daughter got an internship in both Workday and One Medical. One Medical is remote but Workday is in person..One medical is acquired by Amazon but it was not a tech company so looking for insight /; recommendation on comp science internship between Workday and One Medical. TC 400K
Workday has an awesome culture and really great people! Their campus is really nice and id highly recommend in person for internships as it’s all about networking.
It's bs culture, I fucking hate, they talk as if they care, it's full of politics, you should follow managers like dictatorship if not your are screwed. In this case i would prefer team has better tech stack over company name, lot of people use XO it's a workday proprietary bs language UI based, I would prefer tech stack rather than company.
You need to include internship pay and expected TC for return offer.
One medical
An internship needs to be in person.
I would recommend Workday! We have a great culture , and it would be easier to network in person
I doubt how “tech” One Medical is. Their products are relatively simple, a website for marketing purpose, mobile app for scheduling, maybe a platform for provider to use on the backend. I would recommend Workday as the products and team are much mature.
If it is in application products, do NOT join. It uses XpressO. You will turn from an intern into a jombie. It is a drag and drop. Not a programming language. You will loose interest in software engineering.
Workday, great culture and most interns if good will receive an offer for full time after they have graduated.
Workday! Go in person for networking purposes. Internships only last for a few months. On-site is best.
Make it a poll? I don’t know anything about the engineering quality but I’d think workday is the stronger brand Oh and 100% go for in person. Goal is to network and have fun
This.
