Anyone hear of offers or internships being rescinded as a result of coronavirus or economic downturn? Hiring freezes? Layoffs?
I have seen a post elsewhere about Wells cancelling a wealth management internship position due to corona-linked economic downturn. Could just be the beginning.
Big space it’s impacting: Higher Education. The coronavirus pandemic is at least temporarily putting the brakes on some college travel activities — things such as international studies and internships, faculty travel and even faith-based mission trips abroad
:(
Your offer rescinded by Tesla as well?
No it better not!!!! How do u know I have an offer, do you have one?
Don’t think this is typical in finance unless a candidate has done something poorly before they start
Finance companies are one of the industries that are hit the hardest
In my firm they did stop the recruitment processes for 2020. They are now giving offers for 2021. However all the offers that were given are not going to be retracted
Hiring freeze at an foreign Investment bank I was interviewing at
I don't believe the issue is because of coronavirus. Still really unusual if the company is happened to find better but coronavirus.. I don't think that type of systematic issue can actually cancel an offer. Delaying of starting date makes sense tho
Haven't heard of this yet, most likely people will have to do remote
A remote internship? LMAO
Have had 3 friends who had interview super days supposedly cancelled. Finance

I am starting to think Chinese interviewers currently fail non-Chinese candidates on purpose.
No posts are a good thing!
