Having interviewed at many places and many times, I have compiled my personal statistics on success rate given interviewer demographic. Recently received Google offer and have also cracked Apple, MSFT, etc Huge tip is if you see all or close to all of your interviewers being overseas Indian (LinkedIn search), you must reschedule your interview to get a different batch or it is almost a guaranteed fail. That is bc they interview much harder and have tougher attitude. My success rate is about 20% with international Indian interviews, 40-50% with international Chinese, and 70-80%! With Americans! Sample size about 8-15 for each demographic) I have done google and amazon on-site both twice. First time google 3/5 Indian and didn’t even make to HC. Second time google 0/5 international Indian and passed with flying colors. Same exact story for amazon. I do not believe it is coincidence even if you are international Indian yourself. I have 2 international Indian friends that share the same experience with me so please if you have a full lineup of international Indians, make sure to reschedule if you wanna maximize your rate of passing. If you get full lineup of Americans, it is laughably easy to pass. One time when I get stuck I just say random DP recurrence relation and they got so confused and and they’re like “oh that makes sense” and passed me. EDIT: I am American half Korean half Chinese since people keep asking Tc: 350k #interview
Stay calm
Just the tip!
Are you international Chinese ?
I’m American Korean
Similar statistics with me. But lately, American interviewers (below age 30s) are becoming like international Indian interviewers, at least in bay area. So my ideal interviewers are American interviewers of age 40+.
Are you international Indian?
Can confirm Indians (in general) act like gate keepers during interviews in my experience. Sessions should be fully recorded to see if their notes line up with reality
So basically if you aren’t Indian and you interviewer is Indian, then you won’t get the job.

Can vouch for this. As an Indian, had an in-person onsite couple years back and couldn't clear bcos I screwed up few rounds. Last year due to covid had a virtual onsite and interviewers were mostly from Europe / US. Questions were much easier and cleared it. This seems to be common pattern in Faangmula.
