I got an offer from Facebook but not Bloomberg. I genuinely want to make improvements. What do they look for in a candidate?
failed tech rounds or behavioral?
Who gives a fuck Facebook is tier 1. Bloomberg is shit
Don’t even worry about it if you got Fb, it’s not worth it
At Bloomberg, there is some focus on culture fit since the company wants to hire for long-term. We also don't do PIPs, so there is more behavioral vetting as to how genuinely the person wants to work for the company. We are not a company which expects people to churn out code on a daily basis, so this process makes sense. At Facebook, the focus is on how fast you can churn out solutions to LeetCode problems. They let PIP take care of folks who are bad culture fits. They are also a company which expects people to churn out code on a daily basis, so this process makes sense for them as well. Basically, both have drastically different company cultures and interview expectations.
Very objectively
Can you please elaborate what aspects?
It’s a joke no interview process is objective, obviously FB bar is higher than bbg
