Recently interviewed with Netflix. The recruiter informed me that I'm among the top consideration, but the team hasn't made a final decision yet. They'll decide after interviewing all candidates, expected in a few weeks. Is this typical at Netflix? Share your similar experiences, if any. Thanks! #netflixhiring #netflixinterview
Yes, done with round 2 as well. It’s for a senior pm role.
yeah my experience is the same in the sense that they try to get through everyone they brought onto for the final round of onsites. I think it depends on the teams but if you are the top candidate, I dont see why they would not make an offer, as I believe generally the top candidates get it first and depending on their choices, the ones further down the line gets them
From my interaction with the recruiter and the team, it sounded like the team is hiring for one specific position. Does Netflix hire for generic roles and match to different positions like other big tech firms? Can you share - how long after the final interview at Netflix were you offered the role?
We do not generally centralize hiring the way big tech firms do. We simply aren't big enough. There is likely exactly one position available for your specific interview process.
I am on the same page. The recruiter said he will call me to explain the circumstances. I have prepared some questions to ask. If you have suggestion on questions to ask to decode the situation, please share.
It means you’re not the top candidate but you did well. If you were top candidate they would immediately extend an offer.
@XNLj77, how long you heard back from the recruiter after the 2nd onsite? I had my 2nd onsite exactly a week ago, but haven't heard anything yet.
did you finish the second round onsite? What stage are you at and for which role?
