Hello, I would greatly appreciate input on the culture, TC, and interviewing tips for the following companies/roles,: Splunk - Senior Information Security Architect. SAP - Senior Security Architect YoE: 10 #tech
How is the interview going with Splunk?
I interview with Splunk on Monday. I will update this thread when it is over. This would be my first interview with a hiring manager.
The interview went well on Monday. I am waiting to hear back on the next round and will update the thread then.
Did you make it to next round?
I did. I have my final interview Wednesday with a panel of five. The panel consists of other Infosec architects, product security, and IT Operations personnel
Good luck!!
Thanks!!
Still waiting to hear back from the recruiter at Splunk. She stated I should hear if I’m selected or not tomorrow. Anyone know what TC I should ask for with 10 YOE, MBA, MS in Cybersecurity, and some Infosec certs, to include CISSP. Location is the DC area. @splunk
I finally heard back from Splunk. I got the job at the non Sr. level, but I’m okay with that. base 170K bonus - 10% RSU - 150K (over four years)
Congrats!
Thanks!
Congrats op. Can you share high level interview questions?
Technical questions ranged from what is Linux SE to what is a hardware security module. They also asked behavioral questions such as what would you do if there was an incident. I was probed on my knowledge of Windows and Linux. It was a very adaptive interview in the fact that they asked what you specialized in and asked questions pertaining to that. A great experience overall. Also, knowing scripting and securing containers is a huge plus.
I totally needed to read this cos looks like I’d be going through similar. Can I dm you to learn more about your overall interview process? Had the call with the recruiter and he mentioned he’d be recommending me for the next round with the hiring manager. Also mentioned it might be a lesser role
Splunk will pay you much higher for sure
Thank you for that insight
