Interviewing right after accepting an internal transfer offer?

I just accepted an internal transfer offer. I got a chance to do an onsite interview loop with Google where I'd rather work. How much damage can this do to me? How bad would it be if I did this? And should I hide the fact that I just transferred from Google?

You have no obligation to google to tell them you transferred and you have no obligation to stay on the team you transferred to. Just like google has no obligation to give you and offer and just like your new team has no obligation to not fire you tomorrow. Do whats best for you

Do what's best for yourself. I had a reorg on my second day at Amazon. I spent more time talking to hiring managers about their teams and thinking about which team to join than I spent actually working under that manager.

I'm in the same boat, I feel like you'll burn lots of bridges. More so if you're managing people. Are you IC? Also - Google interviews are long, might be months before you leave anyways

I’m doing the same thing right now. Just took an internal transfer plus relocation..it’s not working out..the role was nothing like it was advertised and plus the manager left right as I accepted..so double whammy. Do what’s best for you.

First, as mentioned this may take months. Second, how do you know you will like your current team if you just arrived? Having options is good. In any event, I don't think it counts as job-hopping if you are at Amazon in different roles.
