We all know the alt-right is full of racists, but for the most part they hold no control over tech companies. However the extremists in the left do have control of many companies. I mean I thought Satya was going to be forced out for an innocent gaff at Grace hopper convention a couple years ago. What can we do to add dialogue and reduce the mob mentality that currently rules? A lot of people, including myself identify as liberal, but don't agree with all liberal ideologies or at least not always to the extremes. How can we have tolerance when a small percentage of extremists have such control and fight against open progressive discussion. How do we overcome those who label and ostracize you simply for making a counter argument? Like what happened to the Jewish professor who disagreed with asking whites to remove themselves from campus for a day at evergreen college. *for those unawares here is the back story of the two liberal professors who dared debate the mob: http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/bonfire-of-the-academies-two-professors-on-how-leftist-intolerance-is-killing-higher-education/article/2642973 **I'm adding a poll to see how big/small the group who control the "appropriate" opinions is.
@Dr.Who for the most part you cannot. Mob mentality rules the Bay Area especially. Just look at Antifa. Supposedly anti-fascist but act just like fascist. Destroy public property and engage in assaults due to speech they dislike. Actually, I want the quacks to have their say. First it allows you to identify the crazies - left or right. Second, one shouldn’t be afraid of debate if your position is best. Third, oppress those you disagree with and they go into hiding and if violent surprise us with bad acts. Sunshine is good. Recent studies show that discrimination due to politics is especially prevalent in college employment too.
If you think Satya had even a 1% of getting removed because of that grace hopper moment you are delusional. Hence why you believe the ideaology to be so dangerous.
And most fortune 500 companies do not have left leaning leadership.
Stupid kids are the easiest to indoctrinate. And that's what crap colleges have been doing. It's way easier to teach kid that he is wronged by some 3rd party than to give them good education.
Ah those extremists on the left, always trying to... Stop workplace racism and sexual harassment. That's why I get my news from the unbiased Washington examiner smdh
with reverse racism and auto guilt without evidence? Right
Pretty obvious how OP leans. Not worth debating this one in his thread, xpLV46. Might as well talk to a wall. Schrodinger says you will have a better shot at changing its mind 😎
