Intuit Brand Value on Resume

Does Intuit name on the resume gets you more interview calls? Got an offer from Intuit. Not sure if I should join because of Culture and forced 7% DNME quota. Currently working at an okay-ish company (not ancestry) . Amazing culture and wlb. I was wondering what value does Intuit name brings to the resume. Do people get more interview calls ? Current : 125k, Dallas, Tx - Remote ( staying in Austin) Intuit: ~210k, Mountain View, CA (hybrid 2 days office ) YOE: 3 years #Apple #Google #intuit

OP, in addition to the high TC in Intuit, you should also compare the life in TX vs. would be life in California, if you accept the new offer. As for brand value, it really doesnā€™t matter. If I were you, Iā€™d accept the offer and move to CA.

Thatā€™s true. I wanted to join intuit. But after reading so many posts and talking to multiple people, the culture seems very toxic. Moreover, here I work remotely. I am staying in Austin and work 2 - 3 hours a day.

Take peopleā€™s opinions about culture etc. with a grain of salt. Youā€™d need to experience it yourself. If you ask people or read various forums, you may think that Appleā€™s culture is toxic too. Itā€™s all very subjective. Also, opportunities and job prospects are much more in CA. If Iā€™m doing software, Iā€™d like to be in the Silicon Valley. Rest is up to you.

If you are in good place dont move to toxic place. As someone who moved feom austin to cali regretting the move.

Cost of living near/in Mountain View is much higher than Austin so the compensation is probably not a real increase. But the weather is much nicer and being in Silicon Valley puts you in a good spot for your next role after Intuit regardless of whether it helps your resume.

Intuit lol. Just look at blind. Have you seen anyone even mention it

If it is related to ml or any new technology, you can consider. Get more idea on what team it is, what your work will be like, pip/layoff situation etc. Else stay at Austin and keep interviewing.

Itā€™s better than nothing. Also, you it isnā€™t FAANG but itā€™s definitely second tier to those companies in terms of tech focused work.
