I have an upcoming data scientist interview focused on ML modeling. The recruiter told me that there is a craft demo exercise which will likely be some classification problem. I am curious what is generally asked in such a craft demo exercise on ML? Does it focus on building a model, given some data? How deep a person is expected to go? For example, building a simple model vs doing feature selection and other advanced techniques. Is there a requirement to use certain frameworks like keras being preferred over scikit? Is it heavy on data processing side? Also, is it allowed to use Google/stack overflow as the person may not remember library functions, syntax, etc. Many thanks in advance. Do you have updates on this? I went through the process.
Mind sharing your experience ?
Are you interviewing with them? Don’t want to dox myself. I got an offer and really liked the team.
Avoid Intuit if possible . No work only politics . If you have no place to go then do come
