Onsite coming up @Intuit any idea what the 90 minute coding challenge would look like?
Mountain View
They abandoned the Mint product and left users to get f*^%ed. I liked mint. Don’t do it.
Its onsite interview though
Ask them why they let credit card accounts duplicate 50 times for some users, then refused to fix it for over a year. E.g. 1 credit card with a balance of -1,000 would appear as 50 cards, for a negative net worth of -50k. I have an email chain over a year long where they comically refuse to fix anything.
This for new grad?
Nope..SE2
They will ask you to code up a Full stack application - It's up to you on whether you want to concentrate on designing the REST APIs, creating the data models, use a in-memory DB to save time. If you are more of a front end person, Implement a simple react based front end and mock the responses from the backend. After the 90 minutes session you are supposed to explain your design, answer questions on concurrency, scalability, etc. Good to have all your tools ready. Good luck!
If you are backend, you will be required to implement few api's using rest. You also have to design data model you want to use. You will use your own laptop, can use whatever tools you like, can use internet. You need to focus on your api design and how well you can explain your design selection.
