Is it a good idea to keep Salesforce share (CRM) for a long term ...I am thinking min 5 + years. #Salesforce #CRM #investment #personalfinance #investments
IMO, salesforce does A LOT of stuff but it doesn’t do many of them very well. I could see some disruption in this space but it’s pretty difficult for companies to switch off salesforce. That being said, I don’t think it’s a good idea to buy individual stocks. Almost everyone who tries to pick and time the market loses. Much better to DCA into broad market funds.
Disruptors don’t happen in the CRM market at that scale. No offense but Comments like yours make me double down harder when the only “weak points” are derived from statements that don’t really hold up well and are subjective to opinion. Sorry to say but salesforce is really just a “you get what you get and shut up” kind of deal. Hubspot and others can try and catch up but the reality is no deal of creativity and ingenuity is going to strip an existing crm off a business for the new swanky kid on the block. We’re 20+ years in the biggest companies. You get what you get, that’s the physics of this. And in rare situations in tech where something is here to stay because moving it out is way too expensive and bothersome, why the fuck would you not invest.
Same logic for SAP then and you can really plateau for years…
Why not just get QQQ
Why would you want to keep it in a company which has already grown much and forward revenue growth can be slower than any other saas? If you still feel ok to get 10-15% cagr, you can proceed.
Awww, is that what they train you to say when you go up against us in deal cycles 😂
Nice one 😛😛

I mean, salesforce prints money. Do I think they’re going to zero? No, definitely not. Will they maintain growth rate? Who knows, it only takes one bad acquisition to tank share prices
No
Are you on blackout?
The reality is it’s always going to grow. You can’t deny replacing sf is too costly and bothersome with very little reward if any at all. We’re in crm. Only AI and insights can take us further, it’s not getting any better lol. Eng try to throw lack of creativity and Ingenuity. While those factors are important to keep other solutions alive and healthy. Salesforce is a “you get what you get, be happy and that’s it”. No one in the market now can catch up. And any new competitor will always fold and just be bought out before they even think they have a chance. Maximize your espp at the very least as an internal employee. Whether it’s slow or whatever we’re growing and realistically it won’t be disrupted outside of economic turns etc. It’s like trying to make the next iPhone. Is it possible? Yea i guess anything is but not worth it when your competitor has contracts with the biggest brands in the world and it’ll cost them a leg and an arm to switch to android or the new k phone
You are naive if you think being irreplaceable equals stock growth. Stock market favors growth companies and not stable companies. See all airline or car companies. They make constant profits. Still without growth they stagnate.
Irreplaceable products with no competitors to catch up or replace is one of the many factors for sf stock growth. Sorry not everyone is as stable as you
good good, all in
