Due to uncertainity at Expedia and stock market crash fear, I cashed my 120K investment account and 140K retirement assets in March. As you may guess I am regretting now :) I recently moved out Expedia to a more stable company and need investment ideas. Stock market is too expensive. Do you think I should wait for the Nov elections or Winter to see the real pandemic effect on Stock market or go ahead and invest in ETF? TC: 217K
There is still some value in the markets outside of tech, but yeah are the best companies right now. What every you do, move slowly.
You are falling into the Classic buy high sell low category. No need to panic of you are investing for long term. When the stock market fell 30%, it rose by 50% to get back to the Feb highs. All this happened in a matter of months. I would suggest you to l let to hold on when the market rallies. Invest in bonds and some cash that you think will be helpful when you need money for the short term. Rest let it ride in the stock market. Also try to invest in index funds rather than individual stocks. I am no financial advisor, but this has worked for me.

I know ETFs is the wise advice, but averages are just that: averages. Instead, do some research and invest in 2 to 4 stocks - much better gains, and better understanding of business and the markets a bonus.
