i got about $250k liquid cash in a savings account paying 2.47% intrest rate. kind of scared of the market so im on the sidelines i want to do better than that so how would you guys allocolate $250k into investments in this market? hoping to turn it to 1M+ within 10 yrs if thats a realistic goal.
Invest in strippers and blow.
That’s negative roi
Not if you play your cards right ;)
Where do you live? Consider getting a investment property in Dallas. There are so many options there that can generate net positive cash flow.
I’m in NY too far. Also scared of people defaulting on rent
Hire a property manager. They take one month of rent per year. Property management company responsible for filling your rental quickly. Even if tenants default, you still have property value increase. Dallas real estate is projected to increase.
Cannot be afraid of the market and want a higher return at the same time. 250 to 1m in 10 years would require a 15% yearly return.
Hey, I just went to a seminar it's a new product they just release and the people who managed it is Morgan Stanley (google it if you don't know who they are). Send me a message I'll let you in a little secret if you want to safeguard your money and get a good return in this crazy market.
This sounds 100% safe. But I have a better offer - send me $1K today and I’ll provide you with an infinite return of $1M
How did you save $250k..? Profession? TC? Yoe?
YOE 5, profession finance, TC $140k. I live with family still so I have no housing expenses. I save around $50k cash per year

The job market is absolutely brutal right now
I got some offer from TD bank over the summer for that rate. They haven’t changed or reduced the rate yet so I’m suprised
