Asians - what are your thoughts on asian female white male ?
It seems that only a few companies offer relocation to Canada, and Amazon is one of them. Since I wish to move to the US but don't see a direct way to do so, I am considering relocating to Canada. I could then wait for an L1 visa or opt for Canadian citizenship and use the TN visa to work in the US. I'm curious about the quality of your team at Amazon. While I've heard that Amazon generally has a poor culture, I believe that in large companies, the team dynamic is more significant than the overall company culture. #Canada #Amazon #Relocation
swe starting tc is 170k with relocation and taxes are high but there is opportunity to move to the states with a tn visa

My friend, why the big smile?
Is Vancouver is better?
French in Vancouver? I feel that I don't understand something. Isn't it English-speaking city (compare to something like Quebec).
Amazon?? No. Toxic as he*l. I'm an ex-amazonian, and I used to say that about it being team-dependent too. Don't fall for that fallacy.
I'm one of those that believed it was going to be different. People are just snakes. Not sure if I can even blame Amazon now, colleagues goes behind your back to say bad things.
Well Canadians should be thankful Amazon operates there. The local companies and non existent jobs pay shit in comparison. Join if you can amd then move on TN.
Well, when Canadians join Amazon, they're going to be thankful all right - but for their free healthcare system. They sure as he*l going to need it for their mental health (medication, therapy, etc.). You've been warned!
I have worked at Amazon Canada. Its just like any other high performance entity. Was glad wasnt making 55k a year
It’s the same culture in Canada except worse TC since your living costs and taxes are higher. For the Canadian market it’s one of the top paying places for swe.
What the TC like ?
