Stacked ranking + forced PIPs make the culture 💩 in my opinion. Without that, we could be a real top-tier employer.

Every team has forced stack ranking and PIP. If you haven't encountered it yourself, maybe you haven't looked far enough.
It’s meh. Compared to the rest of FAANG (except for maybe meta but the comp there is fire) it’s shit yea But compared to lots of startups and low TC companies I’ve worked at and my friends work at throughout the US? Amazon is great. It’s all relative

Nah dawg that’s just the honest truth. Go work as a dev at Walgreens or AllState for 100k per year as a senior SDE and then come back and complain about Amazon Amazon treats it’s employees like crap but at least you get compensated well. Other places treat you like shit and barely pay 6figs Btw L5 SDE from a meh state school where most of my friends make less than half of what I make
