They got an offer, but it’s much lower than levels. Edit: Offer is in HCOL area (NY/SF) It appears they were downleveled to IC4 (even though the recruiter had said senior)

That does seem low. According to internal data if he is going for l5 he should be around TC 280k, but CB does not have any offer preferences. We have pay equality, so everyone at x level in y org is paid the same. DE org may be less valuable. This doesn’t look like an Eng offer. Engineering offer should be 340ish or this is an l4 offer

Coinbase doesn’t low or high ball on pay range. Your pay is based on role, level and location. Everyone is given the same offer based on that criteria. You’re either confused on the level, role or location that you’re living :)
