Can't access the brokerage account on a trading day because of an outage. https://downdetector.com/status/fidelity/ https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.thinkadvisor.com/2023/12/01/fidelity-customers-face-issues-with-trading-site-apps/%3famp=1 https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.boston25news.com/news/local/fidelity-investments-customers-experiencing-issues-with-website-mobile-apps-company-says/WZBT5EP4BNC2XEW6Q2CELZDJF4/%3foutputType=amp
Fidelity actually had pretty robust infrastructure and systems compared to most financial institutions… compared to Amazon they run a clean ship! (Edit; just logged into my Fidelity account, seems like a user error on your end?)
No user error. There was an outage for over 15 mins. It is back online now.
Fidelity is one of the safest and robust platform out there. If you are looking to day trade, it may not be the right option. Robinhood was out for an entire day not long back.
Their Atpro is good, but it is not as good as tos
Omg 15 min in a regional outage, that’s the worst, need to get that trade in in 14 min!
Are you naturally an a-hole or only act like one on blind? Many people lost money because of that outage. https://downdetector.com/status/fidelity/ And a-hole, comparing the fidelity trading outage with Amazon issues is like comparing apples and oranges.
Both are fruit
Poopsy poop.
they are pretty good robinhood is trash
Robinhood is trash in what ways? I took out some cash out of Fidelity today to try out robinhood. Another issue with Fidelity is their high commission on crypto trading. They take 1% for each trade.
If you're crypto trading, then you need to pick better brokerage. That decision is on you
Oh if you only could see the horrors we have to work with on some of the backend systems.
Pray tell?
Fidelity is cheap on infrastructure spending and the developer talent is very poor across the company. You can see decision managers buttholes visibly pucker when suggesting spending time on refactoring or cleaning up code or building something new. A significant portion of the staffing is WITCH contractors who don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. Frankly I'm surprised the systems are as a robust as they are. The UI is the only thing I have any positive praise for. They're better than a lot of other trading platforms but that's a pretty low bar.
No poll?
True, i also faced issues yesterday, but in general too their platform is not that great UI UX experience wise. I prefer webull for complex charts or Robinhood for beginners trading. I never had to call a customer service when i was using the above apps. For fidelity, i have had to call them plenty of times due to issues.
if you use fidelity for trading not investing, its your fault. Blame on your intelligence lvl.
Which brokerage do you use?
Their phones are down?
No, there was a message posted on the app that there is an outage, and the brokerage account is unavailable.
