Is Google Hardware(Nest) a good place to work?
Currently expecting an offer from google Hardware (this team was formerly a part of Nest) To the people who are currently at or have worked here in the past — 1. How is the culture and work life balance? 2. Do you enjoy working at Nest? 3. Opportunities for growth? 4. If I end up not liking my team, will I be able to transfer to another team at Google? How easy or hard is it? And how long before I can transfer? For all the “TC or GTFO”, I don’t have an initial offer yet
its kinda a mess right now, because they still working on merging things together. maybe a good time to show your performance. culture and wlb is ok. growth dunno depends on team i guess. you can transfer anywhere after 1 year, with your future team interview
I’d have to interview again to transfer to another team? I thought there were no interviews to transfer within google internally
thats depends on team. it can be technical but much easier. more likely they will just check perf and you will talk with hiring manager.
