no. stay at netflix
lol
Even if it was, would you actually consider moving? I'm not so sure the culture would be better at HBO.
Culture is the polar opposite from what I’ve heard of Netflix. We have high-ish standards to get in, but there’s relatively little pressure on a day to day basis, and we don’t work overtime. We have a “cozy” comp while Netflix to my understanding has a Wall Street sink or swim mentality through everything.
Netflix has pretty high standards, it's by no means easy at all to get in there. As far as daily pressure, I suppose that depends on the team and management for that respective org. Personally, I never felt pressured but perhaps I just tend to handle stress and/or challenges better than others on top of a generally optimistic mindset. The comp Netflix offers to employees allows them to do their best work without much distraction of compensation. Of course, that goes without saying... With great comp, comes great responsibility. Netflix doesn't hire people who want to coast or cruise. There's plenty of those in the industry. Don't forget that Netflix came from a startup background so naturally it can be seen as a sink or swim feeling, especially if you haven't previously worked for a startup before.
No dude. You’ve heard wrong
They match your current nflx pay +15%. It’s on their culture memo.
No. Especially not at the moment. Things are a complete shit show here. I’d stay away.
well i mean if you’re an actor hbo may pay you better than neflix original series
Netflix is far more a tech company than HBO
HBO pay is only half of what Netflix pays for similar tech positions, especially now that HBO is under the AT&T umbrella.
Even lesser for many positions.. they can't match Netflix.
I've not heard this.
