Is Hack Reactor really worth it? Personally, I wouldnโt mind self-teaching myself but I would lack the structure of what to learn vs. what not to learn or building the correct foundation, etc. I do like Hack Reactors stack though. Would prefer to hear from some HR alumni or personal interactions with someone from there. How are you guys doing post completing the program? YOE 1, TC ๐ฅ
I wrote a long response on the previous post you made. Did you delete it?
Aw crap, I accidentally did and I meant to edit the post to ask another question smh
Depends on city. I know two who went through program with very different results. Successful one was in SF, struggling one was in LA. Unfortunately the instructors in LA are rehired students.
I did HR in LA. Of the ~60 people there at the time, I only know of 3 that didnโt get jobs within 6 months or so. To be fair, our instructor was amazing and is now at google. But after ~2.5 years, I know a few of us at top tech companies.

App academy might be better. Many alumni go on to Facebook, amazon, google, Airbnb, etc right out of the program.
I heard App Academy uses Ruby though?
True but I don't think it has been a problem. A few of my friends went through the program recently and got employed within a month of graduating. I went through the program back in 2015 and know of at least 2 people in my class that got 150k+ offers. This was the NYC a/A.
