Is Indeed Safe from Layoffs?

As the title’s said :( TC: 100k SGD Yoe: 0 #indeed

The reality is there is no safe.

True… I’m just scared my offer will be rescinded as I’m starting in August

Understandable even in good times. Focus on the things you can control and understand what you can't. That doesn't mean sit idly as you have time to skill up or even apply for other jobs to have a backup plan. Good luck and try not to overthink it. I'm in a similar situation with vmw/broadcom acquisition when it comes to the anxiety.

Indeed it is :)

Indeed is a jobs board and hiring is decreasing. Whether Indeed will be impacted depends on how well it has planned for a market downturn.

Microsoft DaisyFresh Jun 14, 2022

I'm surprised these job boards still exist. I only check LinkedIn now

Because you’re securely in the highly paid tech bubble. Indeed and a few others cater to a much broader talent market including blue collar/trade, wage, VSMB, etc

The company will go to great lengths to make sure it doesn't have to lay off people. The leadership rocks. Rest and vest at Indeed.

Indeed is pretty safe. They have healthy cash reserves and strong balance sheet. Don't expect any layoffs. Even during covid, they didn't layoff anyone and committed to ones who already signed their offer letters.

Recruit holding stock price has been free falling, any thoughts?

Microsoft snnx Jun 22, 2022

Indeed is not safe at this time. I see lot of teams in indeed who over hired in last 1 year, and soon they might be on chopping board.

IBM yo-yo-boo Jun 29, 2022

Which teams for example?
