Many top tech companies I’ve seen don’t care what language you know and their JD is generally open for any modern language. However Apple seems to be pretty clear on its engineering posts that it must be Java. Am I wasting my time and their time if my experience is only in the C# world? Edit: Im not worried about learning Java(or any language), I’m just not sure if it’s an instant disqualification YOE: 8 TC: 🥜
No
Yeah that’s not true at all.
I have seen some of the cloud teams require deep Java knowledge.. most other teams should be chill wrt Java knowledge
Why Java for cloud tho?
I talked with two apple recruiter about a full stacks position but they ask me if I work with Java or use Java in my current job. At least in my opinion they care.
Depends on the role
Isn’t that true with any company?
That's the point. Not all roles at Apple require Java
C# to Java is easy transition
Absolutely. I’m just not sure if it’s an instant disqualification on their side
