I’ve been working on .net for a bit now and i really want to know if it’s gonna help me achieve a fang if i continue to invest all my time as a web dev in .net. my main stack includes Asp.net core mvc, react for some parts. #software #engineering
It’s not about what language you are proficient in, it’s about how quickly you can adapt to new technologies
No
FAANG don’t hire you because you know .NET, you are evaluated by your understanding of technology, system design capabilities, and LC-bility
It might help a bit for Microsoft, as some teams use .NET, but as others have said, it’s more important to be able to adapt to different technologies quickly.
Is this question from 2000s? It’s 2020. Nobody uses .NET unless it’s some old enterprise software
Heard of .net core?
Nope. FANG mostly uses C++, Java, Python, PHP etc.
Why Java over C#? I get that it's been the de-facto industry standard for years...but C# is a much better language in so many ways.
