I heard it is flat. Is the above management track correct? Also what is the pay range of a director looks like? Thanks
How about Data Science Manager ?
500-800k
Lol which currency ?
Most engineer i know get around 300k to 500k top. If director is only two hop away from IC, why the salary gap is so big? So from IC to manager there will be a salary huge jump? And another one from manager to director?
Any one from Netflix can help on this?
Because the ranges are huge. Directors can be from $400k-$1.5M. We have very flat org, not all Directors are the same in experience, value, and seniority.
There are many kinds of directors - engineering, science and algorithms, ops, product etc and the ranges vary. S & A and Engineering tend to be on the higher side, so million+ average is not crazy. Also manager can have other manager as reports and directors can have other directors as reports, so title flatness does not apply to org flatness.
Yes. Flat IC titles Then for management roles: manager, director, vp Director of what? salaries vary widely depending on discipline
Thanks! Say Director of Science and Algorithms? Although i do see many ppl have this title. Weird.
