Heard Palantir conducted a thorough internal impact reviews and pipped the shit out of most newbies. Many feel they were unfairly targeted and internal source says that crackdown was on Asians and Indians but they made them sign papers for few weeks severance to avoid discrimination lawsuit which is pretty standard industry practice. This isn’t too surprising imo given its reputation of favoring Whites and past allegations of lack of diversity. I wonder if this is the new pip factory and if it is, the community should be talking or at the very least, knowing about it so throwing it out for the hive mind. Source: Couple of ex-Palantirians reached out for referrals in just last few weeks and they all had pretty much the same story. 😭every company’s the new Amazon in this market bro
There’s a difference between announcing layoffs vs pipping unfairly. Later is Amazon’s way of conducting things, and Palantir seems to follow their footsteps. Not every company is soulless to do so
OP has been PIPed at Amazon so of course to him it's unfair. Maybe do some self reflection on why you ended up on PIP OP. Like really do it and improve in future. Even if you conclude you were PIPed because you didn't kiss your managers butt, that's something to improve on moving forward. In this economy you can't be losing high paying jobs else you risk working for 🥜
Nah, longing to be pipped but haven’t managed to get myself pipped yet. Any tips you would like to share from your experience?
This guy is self absorbed narcissist SDM who thinks he knows better. I have seen unfair pip and know what op is talking about. Still at Amazon 5 years+
Palantir probably pays better
Does that give a free pass to brutality?
Possibly yes, that’s the trade off you make for joining.
Why does every company have to be diverse
Why do kittens require milk?
I don’t know why they require milk. Feel free to answer both questions but I’m mostly interested in why diversity is required.
Indians are Asian though.
Yup
I don’t think this is true. Most people are generally just not pleased with there comp adjustment this cycle (if any). I haven’t heard or seen of any extra push to pip people.
Hello Fry 👋🏻
PLTR has increasingly leaned on the pip-approach to cutting HC for at least the last 12-18+ mos. To OPs point, not much about this making it mainstream. Size of the respective companies is undoubtedly one reason, another likely the types of roles being ‘pipped’ most often (at current). Tough for me to comment accurately on the race component and any notable skewedness there. Profiles differ by office (relatively speaking), so count by race may seem higher/lower at location A vs B, vis versa. Overall, will definitely continue (and increase) for the glut of $135k-$150k TC crowd, as they can kill and fill these non-core positions with new hires at a fresh $110k (often times, less) and minimal equity, which adds up on a rolling basis. This can only last so long (with results), so would expect more ‘meaningful’ roles to start to get this treatment over the next six to eight qtrs.
Thank you for adding some real value to this discussion! Unlike most others who are just randomly di***ing around, your comment is refreshingly rational, avoiding unwarranted assumptions and actually demonstrating some awareness and understanding of the point being discussed
It is the standard PIP that we have for folks who are under performing. I am not aware of anything new and it is certainly not targeting Asians and Indians. I am Asian and I am generally more conscious of the race component at the work setting and I would know if it is happening.
Negative! Standard PIP is has to go through Focus and atleast 4-6 weeks of PIP at minimum if not 12. The LinkedIn connections I heard from where terminated suddenly with 2 week notice which includes both, Focus and PIP! Clearly you’re in your own bubble and not aware of bloodbath around
Lol. okay, I don’t know what to tell you. There could be something about your connections that fall out of the norm.

Who are these retards asking for dictatorship in India?
4.1 vs 3.3 blind rating? It’s a long way to go.
Not an accurate metric. Blinders working at Amazon are disproportionately high compared to ones working at Palantir
And you know this how?
