Something is wrong with the stock. It can’t find any traction… Not a hater I love Venmo just talking about the stock. Nasdaq recovered a lot this year but pypl just acts so poorly.
It’s in value territory. Bottom is close or already in.
PE should be 15. META PE was like 10 at the bottom, it was a no-brainer.
Once they were unique, now paying online using credit card or other services is quite common.. people fear less.. so I don’t think they have any advantage over traditional payment methods. Venmo - they are unable to monetize.. with interest rate high, financial companies have limited scope for margin. Yet, I won’t say it will go below 40.. but certainly it is not going above $100 anytime soon
PayPal isn’t going to go back to the moon. Likely just sideways for awhile
PayPal makes money but not like META. And it’s not a growth stock, where’s the innovation? The comparisons don’t make sense.
Considering it’s below any level of support over the past 5 years, the only people who would know the answer to this question for sure are insiders. Otherwise, you have to assume it will continue going down. Usually once a stock loses 50% of its value, it won’t correct without any sort of positive news or new momentum. Not saying you should short it or anything. But we’ll all know loud and clear when it’s time to buy
Venmo doesn’t even make money. It was supposed to with all the super app nonsense but that failed.
No inside information, but going from 60 to 25 is less likely than either trading water or going up.
What do PayPal folks think about the new CEO? Also, what do Intuit folks think about their previous VP?
I don't have personal experience with Alex, but he has a great reputation internally. This thread provides some insight: https://us.teamblind.com/s/vFkoK6gi

Meta was going to $50 when it was at 90 and now its 300+ in less than a year. It could go lower but will rebound above $100 within next couple years and possibly go substantially higher like $200. My opinion, not financial advice.
When meta was around 90s, people came out and said meta is old story and will disappear. I have over 25k invested and one of my friends who works in Fb said how can you invest in dying company. Why don’t you just take loss and reinvest. I felt like a fool but held on and it went to 300. Not saying PayPal will do same. It’s peak was 300+ . But I agree it is on value territory and I am DCAing PayPal. It should be in 100s. If rally starts, it will be crazy
