Treat yo'self. Get a Nikola.
Hot wheels
How much have you invested in Nikola?
No, probably not.
Care to share the reason?
Test drive and decide
Unfortunately cannot test drive both
OP - I heard you can test drive Rivian few days before the delivery date. You can back off if you don’t like it.
I make car parts for Big Three. And I say one thing to buyers. "RUN"! The industry is sluggish, ignorant, filled with old reluctant to change mentality people, and with EV cars ramping up their capabilities it's worrisome how they will survive. Supplier care about their quality more than OEMs do. Just run for now. If you want to buy a traditional auto, go for Toyota Hybrid.
Lol please don’t discourage people from adopting new technologies. They are new,and thus don’t have it all figured out but everything is and will be getting better with time.
Camry Hybrid is probably the best option out there but it doesn’t fit my needs.
If you like a full size truck, the Lightning will be amazing once you ride in it. If you can’t swing the large footprint, I’m sure the Rivian will be great
I believe both are of same size and I like lightning a lot better.
Negative. Here’s a good comparison sheet
@BmMz00 is it possible to test drive before deciding whether you want to buy or not? It's a huge investment if you ask me. I personally like Tesla over Rivian but that's just me.
The market is rewarding first to market with an electric pickup. It’s a lucrative segment of the auto market and they have it all to themselves.
It is a tough nut to crack and everyone are trying to get their share
It’s not about hype. It depends on what you want. If I’m in your place, I’ll look for charging, interior, purpose of usage. I prefer Rivian over F-150 for my preferences.
Why Rivian?
Do I need Charging network in state/federal parks? Big yes! (+1 to Rivian) Do I need luxury style interior? Yes! (+1 to Rivian) Do I need 6ft bed and full size pick up which doesn’t fit in my garage? NO! (-1 to F-150) People might say they can park on driveway but I prefer inside the garage. I feel bad to leave my truck outside in Sun/Rain/Snow whatever weather is.
