Is Seattle the next San Francisco?
Growing up here, it’s been crazy to see the growth. Where do you see Seattle in 10 years? Still the bay area’s little brother? TC $250k L6 BD
It will always the bays areas little brother. Weather and traffic sucks. Bellevue for sure will bring talent but with all the rain people leave
I’ve considered moving, but haven’t quite figured out where has similar to lower cost of living with the same job prospects. The weather sucks, and I have lived here my entire life.
Maybe Austin. I have lived in the PNW my entire life and just moved to the Bay Area and loving the weather. If it rains it’s on the news lol
If you mean struggling with massive homeless problem, not addressing drug addiction and mental health issues....well, it's already there.

This is inevitable. Tons of people heading to Seattle from all parts of the country. I personally know many.
They need to hire thanos. He's inevitable too.
As long as the VCs are here then there will never be a place even remotely close to the tech center the Bay Area is. Will still the the little step brother, but better than the MidWest :)
And the VCs don’t need to worry about COL/rent
Climate alone will make it the next Bay Area.
Just move out of the earthquake, flood and avalanche zones and you’ll be all right. Plus you’ll also have the best view as the seaboard collapses into the ocean when the big one hits
Theory says that global warming will bring Seattle much more sunshine and warmer and longer summers. And global warming is rising like your salary.
The former is real, the latter, not so much :p
