Given how grim it has been with hiring freeze and potential lay offs off late at many mid scale tech companies like Uber, Twitter etc, what is the sentiment at Stripe? It is still private but any new funding will potentially drive its valuation down or investors may not even want to provide any funding anytime soon. I have an offer from Stripe and wondering if this is a really bad time to join or may result in hire for firing situation. Expected start date is end of June as of now. Like 5 minutes after starting. Do people actually AT STRIPE have thoughts? External or internal forces?
It's always people not from stripe with the FUD. I'm starting soon so at least I'll finally get to see it from the inside and form an educated opinion.
Hey cool welcome to Stripe!
Interesting. The same thing happened when they hired the ex Linkedin cmo
I’m in the same boat OP. Hope my offer doesn’t get rescinded
What's the stripe offer breakdown?
No not considering layoffs and still hiring.
Confirmed no layoff, no hiring freeze for now.
tech companies don't care about you. your trash and they can find someone to replace you
Unlike American Express 😂😂
We are still hiring quite a lot. Just slowed down a bit from last year’s hiring projections, which is a good thing.
