Is T-Mobile HQ open to all employees or on at-need basis only?

Starting T-Mobile in October. Wondering if I am able to explore HQ and/or work on-campus?

May I ask why? Msft->tmo?

Microsoft wDUk02 OP Aug 4, 2020

I work as a vendor contractor at Microsoft, so not an actual FTE. So T-Mobile FTE is a big upgrade for me.

Roku repocalyse Aug 4, 2020

Okay. I agree in that case. Congrats.

TC?

If you have a badge and are an FTE you can get general access turned on for it, but as a vendor contractor it may be different. Would have to ask there. Also, with covid there is very few people on campus so might not let you in because of that.

You need permission

T-Mobile gogogo05 Aug 4, 2020

Need permission if your job can be completed outside of the office.

Make sure your manager actually has found a spot for you... HQ was so short on space that not everyone automatically got assigned a desk or cube. But that was the before Covid days. I miss the HQ gym!

You need permission, also there is a limit for number of people that can be present each day. I believe it is 10%

You need to complete a training also and get approval into the office

How did you manage to push start date to Oct? Recruiter wanted me on within a month

Microsoft wDUk02 OP Aug 6, 2020

I’m joining as a new grad for the TechX Professional Program so all the new hires for that program start in October

Ahhh makes a lot of sense lol

I don’t think you need permission....I work from the office every few days and haven’t had to ask for permission. Most of the office is empty anyways and never gets to the 10% limit. You do need to take the training though
