Are there yearly refreshers and base salary increases? How are the annual bonuses?
No refreshers but you get ongoing equity awards each year
So if I understand correctly. Say, someone joins Snap on Jan 2021. And gets 300k as initial equity grant. For 2021, 2022 and 2023 - the person would get 100k each from their initial grant. At the end of 2021 though, the person will be awarded, say 150k, as stock grant which will only best fully in the year 2024. Similarly, equity grant at the end of 2022 will only be useful if the person starts at Snap until 2025, and so on. Can you confirm if this is correct? Assuming no promo scenario- Say initial grant at offer time is X and the year end equity grant is Y. Is Y == X/3? What is the relationship between X and Y if at all? How is Y determined.
X is constant at a level. There's no way to get higher refresher unless promo.. But keep in mind, our L4 is 178k+/yr, which is significantly higher than the L4s in the industry. But also leadership can change compensation anytime they want
Our L4 is sorta industry’s L5 though
We've removed yearly refreshers. There's a 10% of base salary cash bonus now (but the money is pooled between everyone). The base salaries all have a range and you can move up and down the range.
