I have an interview at thermo Fisher coming up and the recruiter said that the organization is in hiring freeze. When I looked up the job posting on their website, it says position filled and when asked about it, they said the tool doesn't have other option to list the freeze. But as per my observation, I think they already filled that role and looking for back up candidates if by chance the actually hired candidate drops out. Am I wrong?
Honestly hard to tell, I think it might vary? I’m in PSG and I know we recently opened a new IT position because our current network guru is changing sites. However, I don’t think we have any money for a new employee so we may as well be lol
It depends on division and site. Many are still hiring to fill roles that are of strong business need.
If you look online for used equipment, lots of lifesciences equipment is available for auction. The recession's hitting Life Sciences bigly.
Yes, also in promotion freeze
Thanks for letting us know..
Cousin works at a NJ location and it’s actually being shut down, pharma in general is in hiring freeze, backfills are being restricted by the HR
