https://www.crn.com.au/news/vmware-partners-customers-should-proceed-with-caution-and-pressure-broadcom-gartner-580723 I just got an offer from VMware. VMware's Broadcom acquisition sounds very much like Micro Focus' doomed acquisition of HPE Software. It has taken years for me to recover and get out of Micro Focus hell. I don't want to join VMware again and face the same problem. I am also interviewing with Nutanix and Redhat. Which one should I join?
VMware makes the whole team disappear with a reverence package.
I still refuse to believe that "Nutanix" is anything but a breakfast cereal.
Have you heard of Hyperconverged infrastructure? They are the leaders. I heard from my customers that Nutanix is the only decent alternative to VMware's hypervisors ever since Microsoft discontinued HyperV for on-prem.

Nutanix is certainly an upgrade over micro focus. But Nutanix growth potential is questionable. VMware may be dead for being a good employer, but customers will continue to use it and won’t care if it is owned by Broadcom. So Nutanix isn’t really getting an advantage here. Use Nutanix as an escape hatch from micro focus, but keep interviewing once the economy recovers.
I wonder why broadcom bought VMWare? Are there any synergies?
People are shifting to cloud nowdays. On prem days are numbered.
Ask any solutions architect, big and medium companies are coming back to onprem. Cloud is too expensive.

Join Red Hat, I bet you won't regret a dime.
how much? for the bet?
I do agree with rest of the redhatters. Paywise its not so good but I never regreed joining company culture wise. And believe me I have change 3 different teams internally.
I would recommend don't join Red Hat. I was a Red Hatter since 2 years resigned last month. If you are looking for a great work life balance Red Hat would be a great choice but for the last few months many people have left Red Hat india for better offers because Red Hat is not a pay master.

I was at Red Hat, pay is faaar subpar by industry standard
Thanks for the warning!
Have you negotiated salary range before starting interviews? What’s your current TC and YOE
Nutanix for TC Red Hat for WLB
Thank you, I think WLB should not be a problem as long as I can work from home and get decent TC.
Nutanix is allowing you WFH, officially?
VMWare is shit dude. I was there
